Welcome to Carrickmannon Fishery in County Down, Northern Ireland.
Carrickmannon is a natural ice-age lake steeped in history and fed by springs. Within the lake a crannog (man-made island) remains where in ancient times, people sought refuge from their enemies.
The lake is a well known local feature and is mentioned many times in song and poem e.g. “Carrickmannon Lake”.
The fishery opened to the public, as a family-run “put and take” fishery in 1994 and over the years has been adapted to suit the requirements of the anglers.
Among the recent adaptations we have introduced, are catch and release and family tickets. Prices begin at just £5.00 – so why not try something different and come to Carrickmannon Fishery for an enjoyable family day out!
